Global High Activation (GHIA) is a category of trauma in which the spirit, the physiology, the human being confronts mortality with the most extreme survival responses available. 

There is no global high presentation that fits everyone who has suffered mortal threat trauma, ego dissolution and consciousness fragmentation.  It is not a diagnosis or a singular presentation and how clients present socially and clinically can vary greatly.
